Supernanny Support Should be available to all

Commenting on plans to introduce 'super nannies' to try to improve parenting in areas with high levels of anti-social behaviour, Jenny Willott MP and Party Youth spokesperson said:

"There is no doubt that many parents in Wales and across the UK struggle with parenting. But providing just 77 'super nannies' for the whole country will not be enough to reach all families with problems and risks sending out the wrong signals.

"By providing support for only the most deprived neighbourhoods we risk stigmatising the least well-off and miss out families in other areas who may need outside help.

"Providing parenting support should be a mainstream option freely available and easily accessible to all families."
