Jenny Willott, Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, has praised A4E's Community Task Force for its work in helping young unemployed people in Cardiff to build skills and gain work experience.

The Task Force provides disabled and vulnerable unemployed young people with a 13 week placement, in which they undertake practical work of benefit to the local community and receive advice and support on how to enhance their long term employment prospects.

Jenny met with Placement Mentor Mike Gleeson and his team of volunteers on Friday and was impressed by the work they have been doing to improve the facilities at Roath Park by painting the iron work around the park. The team have been helping out at the Park since February and have won praise from local residents for their hard work and commitment.

Jenny said:

"A4E does a great job in helping disabled and vulnerable unemployed young people to improve their skills and gain confidence in their search for work. It was great to see them working together, getting useful experience and making a positive difference to the local area. A number of local people have told me how friendly and polite the team is in the park. I hope that this experience helps them to find work."
