Cllr. Ed Bridges and Gareth Holden are advising residents about plans for flats above the old Maskreys shop (now Sainsbury's) on Whitchurch Road.

The Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team want local residents to be aware of plans to build nine apartments at 116-120 Whitchurch Road, on the floors above the new Sainsbury's shop.

The application is also seeking related works to the rear of the site which will see seven car parking spaces added.

Local campaigner, Gareth Holden, said: "This application has been on the horizon for some time, and we want to ensure local residents get the chance to take part in the consultation and have their say."

Residents can view the plans at City Hall, and also at Cardiff Council's website: http://planning.cardiff.gov.uk/online-applications/ by searching for application 11/01622/DCI.

Any resident wishing to submit comments should send them to the Chief Regulatory Services Officer, City Hall, Cardiff, CF10 3ND, quoting application number 11/01622/DCI. Comments can also be e-meiled to developmentcontrol@cardiff.gov.uk - do send a copy to Gareth Holden or Cllr. Ed Bridges so they can reinforce the comments of residents when they make their own submission.
