With busy lives and hectic schedules, it is easy to put off the important task of making a Will. But a Will is vital to ensure that wishes are carried out after death and that loved ones are protected. Dying without a Will can mean months or even years of misery and hardship for those we leave behind.

Will Aid solicitors will draw up a basic Will free of charge during November with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Will Aid charities. The solicitors taking part hope clients will choose to donate the fee they would normally charge. The suggested minimum donation is £90 for a single basic Will, £135 for a pair of matching or 'mirror' Wills or £40 for a codicil or change to an existing Will.

Jenny Willott MP remarked:

"This is a great chance for people to obtain an affordable Will, drawn up by a qualified solicitor. It's an opportunity for people to help their own loved ones and, at the same time, to help people in need around the world."

Last year, 27,000 people around the UK took advantage of Will Aid to protect their own families and at the same time they donated over £2.2 million. This money raised is shared between the participating charities (ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire) and provides vital funds to help people develop communities and build a future in the UK and around the world.

Will Aid solicitors are taking appointments now and are likely to book up very quickly. So find a convenient participating solicitor today at http://www.willaid.org.uk/will-makers/find-solicitor or by calling the hotline on 0300 0300 013.
