Jenny Willott, MP for Cardiff Central, has questioned the lack of clarity around the purchase of further Enterprise Zone development land by the Welsh Government, as well as the snail's pace at which progress has been made.

"Taxpayers have a right to know what plans Cardiff Council and the Welsh Government have to attract companies to these office buildings. Spending millions only for them to be left standing empty would be a disgrace.

"Not content with scrapping the plans of the previous Lib Dem administration for an Enterprise Zone, the Welsh Government and the current Labour administration on Cardiff Council seem to be in a contest to see who can make the slowest progress.

"The Welsh Government has yet to reveal its plans to fill a building on Callaghan Square whilst Cardiff Council has still not made the case for moving their headquarters to a new office building off Wood Street when the current County Hall still has 30 years' worth of life left in it. At a time when families are working hard to make ends meet, Labour must be equally careful with taxpayers' money."
