Save our school bus

In September the Labour controlled council is planning to end the automatic free school bus to Llanishen High School.

In most parts of Cardiff free school buses are only available if you live more than 3 miles from the High School. When Llanedeyrn High School closed parents were promised free transport for 5 years, but this is due to end.

Local councillor Joseph Carter said: ‘Almost 400 children benefit from this free bus at present and it is a long way to walk. We are calling on the council to extend the free bus - the cost is a fraction of the total school transport budget.’
