Cardiff’s Labour-run Council has given the go ahead for 45,000 new houses to be built with no proper plans for the extra infrastructure needed to support them and their residents.
Lib Dem Councillors voted against the Local Development Plan (LDP).
The plan clears the way for the Churchlands development in Lisvane. This development will create traffic chaos in Cyncoed, Pentwyn and Penylan.
“There is a housing crisis in Britain, and we need more homes to solve it. But building those homes without the transport links, schools and shops they need is just irresponsible,” said Eluned Parrott.
We, the undersigned, call on Labour to ensure that any development in Cardiff has the infrastructure required to support it.
