South Wales Central AM, Eluned Parrott, has been spreading the word about a major planning issue in north Cardiff.
In December 2014, an application was submitted to Cardiff Council for outline planning permission for a residential development of approximately 1,000 units, including a primary school and village centre, on land between Lisvane and Cyncoed. Further information, including amended plans, has now been submitted by the developer and residents have a further opportunity to comment.
Eluned said: “This application is in addition to a previous one for 1,200 homes, which has yet to be determined by the Planning Inspector, and is clearly going to have a major impact on the infrastructure and character of this part of the city.”
Full details of the application can be viewed at County Hall during normal working hours, or can be viewed online at http://planning.cardiff.gov.uk/online-applications/ - just enter the reference 14/02891/MJR in the search request. Comments can be made online, sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent in writing to Planning Department, Room 201, County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff, CF10 4UW. Please quote the reference number 15/02501/MJR when you write; the deadline for submitting comments is 16th November 2015.
Cyncoed councillor, David Rees, added: “As always, local Lib Dems will be making representations on this issue, and I would urge residents to share their thoughts with us so we can reinforce their views when we make our own submission.”
