Cllr. Joseph Carter, Cllr. Simon Wakefield and the Cathays Focus Team think Plaid should apologise for misleading people with their latest "llais"
People across Cardiff have been left shocked and confused by a recent Plaid Cymru newsletter telling residents that the Post Office closures are to be delayed in Cardiff, despite no such decision being made.
The 'Cathays Voice/Llais y Waun Ddfal' leaflet boasted that "Plaid's quick reaction to the proposed closure of 31 post offices in the Cardiff area has helped delay the scheme."
Jenny Randerson, the Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for Cardiff Central, commented, "Plaid Cymru are misleading residents with this leaflet into thinking the Post Office closures in Cardiff have been postponed. I have contacted the Post Office to clarify this, and discovered that this is simply not true."
Welsh Liberal Democrat councillor for Cathays, Simon Wakefield, added, "we are entering the final week of the Post Office consultation and need as many people to object to the closures as possible, yet Plaid Cymru's confusing leaflet has undermined the local campaign to save Salisbury Road Post Office by making residents believe the post office is now safe."
The Welsh Liberal Democrats want Plaid Cymru to issue an apology to the residents of Cathays for misleading them into thinking that the Post Office closure plan for Cardiff had been delayed.
