Too many families still waiting for soldiers' inquests

October 27, 2009 12:00 AM

Commenting on the increase in the backlog of inquests into the deaths of troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet Office Minister, Jenny Willott said:

"There are still far too many families waiting for inquests to happen. Well over 100 families are suffering the uncertainty and the backlog isn't clearing.

"The Government needs to help these bereaved families as soon as possible."
