A successful bid by Lib Dem-led Cardiff Council has resulted in several local sites getting new or improved crossing points.
Thanks to your Lib Dem Councillors a new Zebra Crossing will be installed on Corporation Road and other key areas locally
Councillor Asghar Ali welcomed the news saying: "Corporation and Ferry Road are busy roads and lots of children cross them on their way to and from school. I'm glad as a Council we are able to make these routs safer for our children."
The £220,000 worth of improvements will include:
• Two replacement and improved Zebra Crossings by Grange Gardens and Redlaver/Coedcae Street,
• A new Zebra crossing and safer build outs of the pavement near the roundabout with Avondale Road and Clarence Road
• A new safer entrance to Cambridge Street from Corporation Road along with a new bus stop in the area.
• Improvements will also be made to the Penarth Road/Corporation Road junction (pictured below).
Most of Corporation Road has been resurfaced in recent years by Cardiff Council.
