Gareth Holden and Ed Bridges with petition by City Hall

Gareth Holden and Cllr. Ed Bridges have submitted two petitions to Cardiff Council on behalf of Gabalfa residents.

The Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team have submitted two petitions to Cardiff Council to address concerns raised by local residents.

At January's meeting of Cardiff Council, Cllr. Ed Bridges submitted a petition from residents of Cross Place, Herbert Street and Parkfield Place calling for more resident-only parking in the area. This is to address concerns raised during the recent planning application at Talybont over parking congestion in the local area.

The second petition was collected in December, when residents of Soberton Avenue expressed concern over the state of the road, and called for a complete resurfacing of the carriageway to address problems with potholes on the street.

Local campaigner, Gareth Holden, said: "We hope that by raising these issues on residents' behalf and showing the strength of feeling in our local community, we can persuade Cardiff Council to take some action."

As always, we'll let you know what progress we make on these issues via our regular Focus leaflets.
