Jenny Willott, MP for Cardiff Central, is lending a helping hand for a Cardiff food bank collection which is to be held at Sainsbury's on Colchester Avenue in Cardiff on Saturday November 10th at 1pm.

She is encouraging local residents and shoppers to donate to the food bank which has recently handed out a record 1.3 tonnes of food in a week from their Ely warehouse. Despite a recent intake from harvest festivals, food bank manager Ian Purcell is concerned that stock may run low.

Jenny Willott MP says;

"I am encouraging shoppers and local people to donate whatever they can to the food bank. With food prices rising and use of food banks increasing, the generosity of others is more important than ever, as the winter months begin to set in."
