JOB AD: Jenny Willott MP looking for Parliamentary Assistant
Jenny Willott is looking to recruit a Parliamentary Researcher for her London office. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with good attention to detail and excellent spelling and grammar. A highly organised individual, they will be self-motivated and be able to work well in a small team.

Job Details:
- Undertake research on a range of subjects as directed by the MP
- Develop knowledge on specialist areas
- Draft proactive and reactive press releases and articles
- Deal with the media, including building proactive relationships
- Draft correspondence in response to constituent queries
- Write speeches and briefing notes as required
- Manage parliamentary diary
- Liaise with other relevant members of Parliament and their staff
- Liaise with Government departments, charities, campaign groups and businesses as appropriate
- Attend meetings in Parliament as appropriate
- Liaise with constituency staff to identify local issues for further Parliamentary work
- Deal with correspondence as necessary
- Keep records of all work and ensure information is easily available
- Oversee the direct work of interns
- Deal with visitors to Parliament, from the constituency and from relevant organisations
