Jenny Willott, Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, and Eluned Parrott, regional AM for South Wales Central, met with representatives from British Gas and the SpeakEasy Advice Centre, who are working together to deliver The Energy Advice Project, offering fuel debt advice.

Eluned and Jenny had a chance to see how the two organisations are working together to help people in Cardiff who are struggling to pay energy and other bills.

Over 600 households have been helped in the first two years of the project. Over £60,000 has been awarded to clear gas and electricity arrears.

Jenny Willott MP said:

"It was an incredibly worthwhile visit to SpeakEasy to see the work they do with people struggling with fuel costs. Their Energy Advice Project, funded by British Gas Energy Trust, provides crucial advice and assistance to anyone experiencing fuel poverty."

Eluned Parrott AM added:

"I was pleased to hear about the work both British Gas and the SpeakEasy Advice Centre have been doing to help local people out during tough times."
