Popular Cardiff Councillor Judith Woodman has been selected by the Lib Dems as their candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner on May 5th.
Judith will bring a wealth of experience to the role, having previously been responsible for community safety in Cardiff.
During that time she worked with the Police to provide more Police Community Support Officers and to tackle anti-social behaviour.
Judith said: “I want to use my experience to get our local police more active in our communities.
“Only by listening to local people can the police effectively tackle local crime issues.
“I will also work with communities throughout Cardiff to prioritise issues and ensure resources are directed to where they are needed.
“Cardiff is a fantastic place to live and to visit and I want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience it at its best. I will work hard to maximise the amount of money that goes to getting more police out on the beat rather than paying the salaries of Labour cronies.”
