Local campaigners Councillor Rodney Berman, Imran Latif and Jon Shimmin work hard to improve our area and have a clear plan for what they’d do to help our community:
-
Making Road Junctions Safer: The local Lib Dem team has successfully petitioned the council for improvements to various junctions – such as the pedestrian crossings being installed at the junction of Penylan Road and Colchester Avenue, and safety improvements at the junction of Kimberley Road and Blenheim Road.
-
Improving Our Local Parks: Penylan Liberal Democrat councillors have secured improvements in local parks, including in Waterloo Gardens as part of the flood relief scheme works. They have recently secured a commitment for the footpaths around Roath Rec to be revamped which will stop them from being waterlogged for much of the year.
-
Fighting For More Places In Local Schools: The local Liberal Democrat team helped secure the establishment of Howardian Primary School and for the expansion of Cardiff High to be included in the council’s ongoing school building plan. They are keeping up the fight for this promised expansion to be delivered.
The Lib Dem team's plan will begin the work of fixing the mess caused by Labour's infighting and misrule. Labour let fly-tipping increase by 59%, cut roads funding, and let our streets get messier.
Elections in our area are always close between Labour and the Lib Dems. There is no chance of the Conservatives or Plaid winning here.
The Lib Dem team need your support to deliver their positive plan for change in Penylan.
