Save the Roath Park Pub and oppose the flats plan

Liberal Democrats in Roath have launched a campaign against plans to demolish the Roath Park pub on City Road and replace it with an eight-story block of flats with retail on the ground floor.

Welsh Liberal Democrat Senedd candidate for Cardiff Central, Rodney Berman, said:

"The Roath Park pub is part of the area's heritage. It is a lovely historic building and it would be a great shame to see it demolished.

"But to add insult to injury, the block of flat that developers want to build in its place is nothing short of ghastly and has led to dozens of objections from local residents.

"The community now needs to pull together to fight this unwanted development all the way."

Please back our campaign against these proposals by signing the petition below.

I/we, the undersigned, strongly object to planning application 20/01952/MJR to demolish the Roath Park pub and replace it with a multi-levelled building with residential units on upper floors and retail use on the ground floor and basement.
