No to over-development of Three Brewers/Colchester Motor Co site

Plans to build fifty flats and a retail unit on the sites of the former Colchester Motors garage and Three Brewers pub have provoked huge local opposition.

The scale of the development, its bland design with inadequate outdoor space and its location on a busy junction that is part of a route to school make this an inappropriate development on almost every front.

Rodney Berman and Joe Boyle, Liberal Democrat councillors in Penylan, voiced their opposition during the pre-application consultation process. We are disappointed that the final application has failed to take seriously the concerns raised.

Please help us fight this inappropriate development, which is an over-development, lacks any design merit and will bring traffic chaos at a busy junction on a route to school.

Full details of the planning application can be viewed on Cardiff Council's website here.

I/we, the undersigned, formally object to planning application 20/01255/MJR to build 50 no. apartments and 1 no. retail unit (Class A1) on the site of the former Colchester Motor company and the former Three Brewers pub. The proposed plans are an over-development of the site, lack design merit and will lead to traffic chaos at a busy junction on a route to a school.
