Where's our recycling centre?

When Cardiff Labour closed Wedal Road recycling centre in 2017 we were promised a replacement tip in the North of the City before Wedal Road was closed.

Currently, residents in Cardiff North have to travel to Lamby Way or Bessemer Close to dispose of their waste. Labour broke their promise to residents that they would open a replacement tip in the North of the City, and our dirty lanes and streets show it.

Fly-tipping is up since Wedal Road closed. Figures show that there has been a 200% increase in the number of fly-tipping reports received by the council in the Gabalfa ward alone in less than a year.

We Demand Better.

Back our campaign today calling on Cardiff Council to immediately bring forward plans to open a recycling centre in the North of the City.
