Save our hospital park and ride – say no to the data centre plans
Plans have now been submitted that would remove the Cardiff East park & ride entirely. That’s why we’ve launched this petition to save it.
Following a consultation over December and January, the developer has applied for permission to keep the new bridge, replace planned commercial units with a data centre, and scrap the park & ride used by hospital staff, patients and visitors.
The developer’s own consultation report admits that most respondents opposed removing the park & ride – yet the plans are going ahead anyway.
This park & ride is a vital transport link to the hospital, helping reduce traffic and making access easier for those who need it most. Removing it would be a backwards step.
Rodney Berman and local Liberal Democrat councillors oppose these plans and are calling for the hospital park & ride to remain.
Sign the petition: save our hospital park & ride
I/we, the undersigned, oppose planning application 26/00109/HYB and the proposals to demolish the park and ride. Providing access to Wales's largest hospital should be more important than building a data centre.
