Save our hospital park and ride – taking the campaign to the Welsh Government
Plans were submitted at the start of the year to scrap the park & ride used by hospital staff, patients and visitors, and instead build an energy intensive data centre and bridge.
This park & ride is a vital transport link to the hospital, helping reduce traffic and making access easier for those who need it most. Removing it would be a backwards step.
We launched a petition to oppose the planning application and over 2600 people signed it. We are waiting on the planning committee to consider all the evidence including the petition, the hundreds of objections, and all the evidence provided.
Taking the fight to Welsh Government
In the meantime, we have written to the new minister responsible for planning to ask her to call-in the application before it is considered by the council due to how controversial it is and that the impact would be felt by thousands of people across South Wales. We would have also launched this new petition to show her the public interest in this applications.
Sign the petition: call on the government to save the Pentwyn park & ride
I/we, the undersigned, oppose Cardiff Council planning application 26/00109/HYB and the proposals to demolish the park and ride. Providing access to Wales's largest hospital should be more important than building a data centre. We call on the Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning to call-in the application
